University Mental Health Day is all about supporting our students' mental health, and our Library Team hosted a StressLess event focused on just that!

Students got involved in creating a Wellbeing and Mental Health Zine, crafting, decorating biscuits, and even guided meditation sessions. 🩵

During National Student Money Week, our Student Money Adviser and Student Wellbeing Team have been helping students with smart budgeting tips and highlighting the full range of cost of living support available at CCCU.

Two lucky winners also took home a free basket of food shopping, by guessing the correct total price from a range of supermarkets.

Here are some of our highlights from February…

🎓We celebrated with our Medway Graduates at their graduation ceremonies in Rochester Cathedral. We’re so and wish you all the best for your futures!

🏳‍🌈 February was LGBT+ History Month, marked at the beginning of the month by raising the Progress Pride flag at Augustine House. Students came together and celebrated our inclusive community through a range of events and initiatives throughout the month.

🌟 Medway born multi-talented NHS doctor, BAFTA-award winning television presenter, author, health and LGBTQ+ advocate, Dr Ranj Singh, received an Honorary Doctorate from CCCU.

🎉 Students had a re-introduction to all the opportunities on offer, with the Students’ Union hosting Society and Sports Clubs Showcases to help students explore their hobbies, develop their skills, and have fun!

👋 Student Volunteering Week encouraged students to help their community, connect with people, and enhance their CV. The StressLess champion volunteers hosted two crafting events, offering a safe space to meet with others.

📣 The National Student Surveys launched – the chance for final year undergraduate and postgraduate students to share their feedback and help shape the future of CCCU!
