There is just over a week left to apply for the A&O Shearman First-Year programme!

It’s a programme of two insight days across the year designed to give students access to employability sessions, a global network, insights about the firm and all the opportunities needed to decide whether a legal career at A&O Shearman is right for you.⚖️



⚖️We’re able to welcome students in their first year of a three-year (or second year of a four-year) undergraduate degree from any degree discipline.
⚖️We cover reasonable travel and hotel accommodation to our office.
⚖️Being on our First-Year programme means you will be fast-tracked to assessment centre for a Vacation Scheme

If you are a first year on a three year undergraduate course or second-year on a four-year undergraduate course, whether it be law-related or not.
Please don’t forget to apply to Linklaters for aspiring lawyers to gain valuable commercial legal experience.
Successful applicants will experience 2 days in the office followed by a sixth month virtual series of professional development sessions acquiring valuable experience to add to a professional CV!

🚨CALLING ALL ASPIRING SOLICITORS! NEW VIRTUAL EVENT ALERT! SIGN-UP VIA LINK IN BIO! 🚨

In collaboration with the Kent Student Law Society, Magic Circle firm Slaughter and May will be hosting a Trainee Q&A Webinar. Slaughter and May has a global reputation for providing outstanding legal services. The strength of their practice is reflected in the multi-jurisdictional nature of their work and their international client base. The firm is a trusted adviser to some of the largest companies in the world, advising on complex cross-border deals every single day.

On Tuesday 19th November at 6pm, one of the firm’s current trainee solicitors will be sharing an insight into their journey to Slaughter and May and their training contract so far – including typical trainee tasks, what the work in different practice areas involves, and what life as a trainee is like. They will also share their experience of applying to law firms, and their top tips on navigating the application process.
