🚨 Major Incident Exercise at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre 🚨

Today, Bucks College Group hosted an incredible Major Incident Exercise at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre in Quainton. The exercise was performed twice: first by Buckinghamshire's emergency services and then re-enacted by our dedicated Uniformed Services students.

A special thanks to our Special Effects students for their realistic SFX injuries and our Health and Social Care students for their vital triage roles.

🎬 Lights, Camera, Action at Buckinghamshire College Group! 🎬

Over the past year, we've forged strong partnerships with the award-winning Emporium Productions, a global leader in factual programming. Their acclaimed works include Inside the World’s Toughest Prisons, Rich House Poor House, Save Money on Your Supermarket Shopping, Inside Belmarsh, 999 Britain from Above, and more.

Several of our talented Level 3 Film and TV students have completed their College Work Experience with Emporium Productions, and we currently have a Media T-Level student on an industry placement with them.

Recently, we've been collaborating with Emporium Productions on their filming activities at our Amersham Campus for the upcoming second series of Donal Macintyre’s Killer Evidence. Our students have had the incredible opportunity to observe the production process and even participate as extras!

📺 The series is set to air in May on The Crime & Investigation channel and ITVX. Be sure to tune in and watch for our students' appearances!

Yesterday, we welcomed industry professionals from Universal Pixels, Digital Orchard, D-LUX Rentals, O2 Academy Oxford, Solid State Logic (SSL), Universal Music Group, and freelancer Jay William Whittington for an inspiring Creative Insights event! ✨

Our guests shared their experiences in media, music, and live events, offering valuable career advice and insider knowledge on breaking into the industry! 🙌

🎥 T Level Media students played a key role behind the scenes – operating cameras, managing the gallery, and leading podcast interviews with our guests! 🎙️ The event featured live panel discussions in our TV studio, broadcast to YouTube, giving students real-world production experience.

🏗️ Last week, we welcomed future Civil Engineers to campus for an exciting taster day! From building paper structures to exploring the tools and technology used in the industry, it was a day full of learning and teamwork! 🤝

Our Cornerstone Employers, AtkinsRéalis & Balfour Beatty led a range of engaging activities, showcasing their vital role in delivering our Civil Engineering T Level. Their involvement helps shape our curriculum to ensure it remains industry-relevant, while also providing students with incredible enrichment opportunities like site visits and work experience! 🚧🧱

The day was a great opportunity for applicants to meet potential classmates ahead of September, making it an exciting first step in their Civil Engineering journey! Thanks to everyone who made it such a memorable experience! 👏✨
