To commemorate National Careers Week and in celebration of International Women’s Day, students had the fantastic opportunity to attend the "Empowering Futures" event, hosted by Stamford Park Trust.

The event offered our students a unique chance to explore exciting career paths in industries where women are often underrepresented, including the Army, Construction, and Engineering. They heard from incredible women at Stamford Products Ltd, The RAF, and Russell WBHO, gaining valuable insights into real-world careers and leaving truly inspired!

Our students showed such enthusiasm and curiosity, participating in engaging activities, asking thoughtful questions, and embracing new possibilities for their futures. We are so proud of their ambition and the way they represented our schools!

A huge thank you to Stamford Park Trust for creating this opportunity, and to our students for making the most of every moment. We can’t wait to see how this experience shapes their aspirations and future successes!

Our A1 Politics students had an eventful few weeks before half term, engaging with two fantastic guest speakers!

First, they welcomed Robert Largan, former MP for High Peak, who answered insightful questions about his political career under Boris Johnson, Liz Truss, and Rishi Sunak. He was highly impressed by the students' thoughtful questioning!

Through the Politics Project, students also participated in a virtual Q&A with Deputy Mayor Kate Green, discussing topics from Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership to transport and crime, sparking a fascinating debate on social media regulation. Their well-researched questions earned high praise!

Well done to our passionate politicians for their outstanding engagement! 👏
