What a jam-packed week it's been around our halls!
This week, saw us launch our brand new Heritage Club ๐with our first activity being Meet & Greet Bingo. The Heritage club lets us celebrate the sharing of cultures and meet new people from diverse backgrounds, all while exploring what makes us unique and what brings us together.
In recognition of Black history month, our students got involved with a Raffia Basket Weaving class ๐๏ธ, Djembe Drumming session ๐ฅ and some got crafty during a Shadow Box Making workshop.
We also celebrated World Mental Health Day with a series of wellbeing themed events as part of our brand new wellbeing events programme! Students joined us for alpaca walks with thanks to ๐ฆ, a Neurodiversity night with LEGO play facilitators and our care experienced and estranged students took to the lanes at a special bowling night! ๐ณ
Alongside all of these amazing events, students across our halls also took part in many more activities like our Craft Club , Biscuit decorating ๐ช, Nintendo Switch tournament ๐น๏ธ, making rainbow fruit kebabs ๐๐, our Book Club ๐ , Pride friendship bracelet making ๐๐ฟ, a Paint like Bob Ross workshop ๐จโ๐จ๐ผ๏ธ, Jewellery making ๐ฟ๐, Pizza making ๐, Gardening Club ๐ฑ and finally, our Broadgate Park Cafรฉ and Cooking School! ๐จโ๐ณ
Join us tonight for: Spooky mocktail potions ๐ป๐ธ, ISOC freshers dinner ๐ฝ๏ธ, Rainbow biscuit decorating ๐ช, Poke Bowl ๐ฒ and much more!
This weekend also see's us kick off our 'Live like a local' initiative with a double header! Join us for a walk round Wollaton Park () ๐ณ๐๏ธ and then get your tickets at the ready, as some of us head to the to see the hit the ice against the , as part of the ResX and Panthers Community programme.
To close out the week, on Sunday, we have our halls night in at David Ross Sports Village in partnership . This is your chance to try out some sports, scope out David Ross Sports Village & meet new people!
