As we honor British Science Week, let’s highlight the remarkable Lord Kelvin! 🥰 He began his journey at the University of Glasgow in 1834 at the tender age of 10. Acknowledged as one of the foremost scientists of the 19th century, he earned international acclaim for his theoretical and practical advancements across almost all realms of physical science. The Hunterian Museum has launched a permanent exhibition dedicated to celebrating Lord Kelvin's life and achievements. 🌍🔬

Happy Ramadan! 🌙 For students observing fasting, we have designated prayer spaces for students. College Services are available from 8:30 AM to 5 PM for any additional support you may need. We also have snacks available in College Services for those observing the fast.

What a fantastic visit we had today to the beautiful Dumfries Campus!🌲🌿🔬📚🧪🪴

Our Science students were invited to visit the School of Social & Environmental Sustainability for the day🌟 Foundation and Pre-Masters students had the opportunity to experience a lecture and lab led by Dr Natalie Walden🔬 They carried out an experiment to filter micro plastics from sediment samples🧪

Despite the wet and windy weather🍃🌪️☔ we spent the afternoon exploring the campus at the School, enjoying just some of the facilities and nature on the 85 acre campus🌲🌿🪴

Thank you again to the staff and student ambassadors who welcomed us✨
