Moss enthusiasts beware!
Something exciting is being prepared by the James Hutton Institute. On the 14th of May there will be a small informal workshop for beginners, improvers and non-experts to learn about moss identification and/or improve existing basic skills. The workshop will comprise informative seminars, a short excursion in the wooded grounds of the James Hutton Institute to observe mosses in a range of habitats and to collect material for study, and a chance to identify first-hand the collected mosses.

Spots limited so do not hesitate and get in touch with Professor Hamlyn (Lyn) Jones ([email protected]) or Andy Taylor ([email protected]).

We´ve met the trees ! Another lovely event happened this Wednesday (23/03/2022) during Climate Week North East and we had a great time in Maryculter Woods. Special thanks goes to Dr Louise Page who´s prepared a wonderful tree ID workshop, giving us great information about our or native wooden flora. We also
want to thank Prof Pete Smith, who agreed to join us for the discussion, but, unfortunately, could not attend due to unforeseen circumstances. Big thanks also to all of you who came along ! We hope you´ve enjoyed it as much as we did :)
